Jews do not believe in the prophets after the Jewish prophets, including Jesus and Muhammad. Americans as a whole – not just Jews – increasingly eschew any religious affiliation. There is a whole program in the Torah for creating a balanced distribution of resources across society (Exodus 22:24-26, Leviticus 25:36-37, Deuteronomy 23:20-1, 24:6,10-13,17). It was a beautiful practice to help unlock my voice, and to come to better understand the dual processes of thinking and creating.
